Welcome to Mechanical Marvels - the blog and website for Dave Powell. All my exploits, successes and failures will be documented here, my major current project is a 1951 Ford Prefect hot rod with a Rover v8 engine in it. I am also working on numerous motorcycles, a model steam traction engine and an off grid solar / wind generator to power my workshops. I love 1970's and 1980's motorbikes mainly from the Japanese manufacturers like Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, I quite like Triumphs from around that time too. I own and run Boston Bike Bits, when not messing about with marvelous mechanical machinery I buy and sell used motorcycles and parts.
