My mate Malcolm has a pretty astonishing car collection, one of his little mechanical marvels is a replica Ferrari Dino that he acquired about a year back. The company that used to make them got forced out of business by Ferrari, who didn't like their ong out of production creations being copied. All the molds had to be smashed up and all the parts destroyed to avoid incredibly expensive legal action, the kit had been purchased long before that happened though.
Most of the work has been done by my mate Russell, I only really got involved once the electrical stuff needed sorting and I have been helping out since. It has all been rather good fun and it's nearly done now. We just have a little bit of work left to do to get the passenger side door lock working correctly and then the glass goes in - Malc has a specialist lined up to do that bit.
It's a real pig to work on the interior as it is very low and I am very old. It's also very small and tight in there, especially with the seats in. It really does look lovely though, one of the best shaped cars ever, I reckon.
I will do some more pics when it's totally finished, we need to get it out of the way as the next job is a clutch change in a 1967 Shelby GT350 mustang.
